WHAT TO WEAR AND HOW TO PREPARE
Suggestions to prepare for your photoshoot

1ST STEPS  -  MAKE APPOINTMENTS AS PER SUGGESTED TIMELINE   

Gel manicure  3 weeks prior 

Dentist – 3 weeks prior if possible 

Haircut  2 weeks prior   

 3 – 5 DAYS  PRIOR   

Root touch up 

Gel manicure

Eyelash fill   

THE DAY BEFORE   

  • Manicure   

SHOOT DAY   

  • Hair and makeup – if not being done in the photo studio  

DRINK MORE WATER   

  • Water keeps you hydrated and does wonders for your skin, nails and your mind.  

AVOID THE SUN.  

  • Sunburns and tan lines can distract from your photos, it is best to avoid them.  

DON’T PICK OR BITE   

  • avoid picking or biting your skin, lips nails   

GET SERIOUS ABOUT SKINCARE  

  • Wash your face nightly, exfoliate your face and body every other day, use moisturizer on your full body, wear lip balm to avoid dry chapped lips.

  • If you have some trouble spots on your face or body that you would like the address for your photo shoot we have a solution for unwanted wrinkles, bags under your eyes,  dark circles,  loose skin, cellulite, stretch marks and dimpled skin that will give you a more toned look and smoother skin in as little as 30 day .   

 START YOU DREAM PHOTO SHOOT BOARD

  • Pick a platform that you enjoy using (Pinterest, etc.) and start designing your dream photoshoot, get wardrobe ideas, collect images/poses that you would like to see yourself in.  Get inspiration and share it with us. This will help us understand exactly what you are looking to get out of your photoshoot. 

THREE WEEKS TO GO GET SHOPPING

  • You have been planning your outfits, you have pulled out your favorites from your closet and now it is time to top up your wardrobe. Whether you’re renting a special dress or buying from your favorite online store, allow plenty of time for your clothing to arrive. Don’t forget about the shoes! make sure you have everything you need to complete the looks that you want including pins and accessories.

START STRETCHING  

  • Stretch for 20 mins a day, neck, back, and hips Posing for a photo shoot is work and the more prepared you are the better the end results will be.

VISIT THE DENTIST

  • Now is a great time to get your regular teeth cleaning and whitening.

GET A GEL MANICURE

  • Gel Polish keeps your nails strong.

ONE WEEK LEFT ORGANIZE
  • Complete your wardrobe prep, double check you have everything you want and pack a bag with the things you will not need in the next week.  This will save you from scrambling the day of the shoot looking for all the items you thought you wanted to bring.

  • WAX Face – It is time to get the waxing done, face, upper lip, eyebrows etc . Body Hair – legs, underarms, depending on how revealing you outfits are you may want a bikini wax as well.

  • CUT BACK ON YOUR CAFFEINE AND SALT INTAKE  Both are dehydrating and cause your body to retain water.

  • TANNING As stated before avoid tanning and tan line.

5 TO 3 DAYS – GETTING EXCITED FINAL WARDROBE CONSULTATION.
  • Meet me face to face to try on and finalize your wardrobe and make styling plans.

THE HAIRDRESSER

  • If you dye your hair, touching up your regrowth 3 days before your photo shoot is ideal This is a great time to get a touch-up or trim . Treat yourself and your hair to a deep conditioning.

EYELASHES

  • A few days before your shoot is a great time to get an eyelash filled and refreshed. If you use eyelash extension do this a couple of days before your shoot.

THE DAY BEFORE

SPA DAY

  • This is the time to get your manicure and pedicure. Try to stay with neutral colors for your fingernails as they may be in your images and close to your face, if they are bright or florescent they will detract from your images, go crazy on your toes if you like.

CLEAN YOUR JEWELRY

  • If you are going to be wearing it for the photo shoot, make sure it is clean. For your wedding ring try an old toothbrush and toothpaste.

WASH YOU HAIR

  • Long Hair – The night before Fully air dry or cold or warm blow-dry your hair avoid using hot tools such as curling or straightening irons.pull your hair up in a loose bun to help build volume  Short hair – wait until the morning, wash and dry.

  • FINAL TOUCH UPS Touch up your body hair, remember your underarms, legs,  eyebrows, upper lip, nose and bikini 

YOUR DREAM SHOOT DAY

Today is the big day, you are fully prepared and ready to go.

EAT AND DRINK (WATER)

  • Eat healthy protein base breakfast Drink your water Make sure you are  to eat lunch if you have a mid-day shoot 

HAIR AND MAKEUP

  • If you are having your hair and makeup done in the photo studio. Bare face, wash and apply your usual moisturizer Clean Dry hair, styled with no product. We will use this as a starting point. Show up 10 – 15 minutes before your scheduled time.          ·
